When Mike built his first food truck by hand back in 2016, he had no idea his passion would turn into Maryland’s favorite gelato! Mike had a single, passion-driven goal: to bring the authentic, rich, and creamy gelato he fell in love with in Italy back home to Maryland.
After studying the craft at Gelato University in Bologna and obsessing over all-natural, small-batch recipes, Mike’s Gelato officially hit the streets a decade ago.
Fast-forward through 10 incredible years of scoops, events, and unforgettable memories—we just celebrated our 10th Anniversary Party, and we are still buzzing with gratitude!
We couldn’t have asked for a better afternoon celebrating with the incredible community that has supported us from day one. From 12:00 to 4:00 PM, the energy was high, the sun was shining, and the treats were flowing!
Here is a look back at what made the day so special:
Live Music & Family Fun: The live band kept the good vibes rolling from 12:00 to 3:00 PM, while kids enjoyed face painting, a bounce house, and endless bubbles all afternoon long.
Delicious Eats: Our friends at DMV Taqueria served up incredible food to keep everyone fueled up for the fun.
Exclusive Merch: The first 50 customers who spent $15 or more walked away with a free limited-edition anniversary t-shirt!
A Sweet Milestone: It was such a joy seeing so many familiar faces gathering together to mark 10 full years of business.
To celebrate a decade of craft, we debuted four special new flavors created specifically for the party:
Raspberry Gelato – Bright, fresh, and perfectly tart.
Spicy Mango Chocolate – A bold, decadent mix of sweet fruit, dark cocoa, and a gentle kick.
Toasted Popcorn & Earl Grey Tea – A cozy, aromatic blend that surprised and delighted everyone who tried it.
Strawberry & Prosecco Sorbet – Refreshing, light, and perfect for a celebration!
Hearing so many wonderful comments from our customers throughout the day truly meant the world to us. In fact, thanks to the overwhelming turnout, we may need to make this an annual event at Frank’s Produce !
